During a corporate strategy meeting today John Kodera, PlayStation Boss, reportedly said that the PlayStation 4 is entering the end of its lifecycle.
Kotaku have recently reported that Sony will be ending the manufacture of game cartridges for the PlayStation Vita. This change will not affect distribution which will continue for some time after the production stops, but still marks the closing of physical game production for this handheld console.
Sony Interactive Entertainment announced that the Gran Turismo series, developed by Polyphony Digital, has sold more than 80.4 million copies since it debuted in December 1997.
Last month the FTC gave a number of companies 30 days to change the language in their warranty policies in accordance with related legislation. Now Sony and Nintendo have updated their warranty policies in response to this warning.

Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo were put on notice in April by the Federal Trade Commision (FTC) because they have been telling consumers that getting their electronic devices repaired by a third-party service will void their warranty on that device.
Thanks to the additional 2.5 million consoles sold in Q4 Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that over 75 million PlayStation 4 units have been sold worldwide.
