As expected, FIFA 16 storms its way to the top spot in the UK charts ending the week of 26 September in its first few days on the shelves.
The latest edition of EA’s flagship footy game has rocketed ahead of the competition, although sales are on a slight downward trend in comparison to last year. For the first week on sale, FIFA 16 sold seven percent less physical copies compared to the release of FIFA 15, a revenue loss of four percent.
Having managed a respectable 3rd place in the previous week, Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 slips further down to 6th place. Evidently, Konami has not managed to oust FIFA as the top football title this year.
Destiny: The Taken King retains a podium position as it falls from 1st to 2nd, while Forza 6 was also pushed back by FIFA from 2nd to 3rd place. Skylanders Superchargers made the second new entry into the charts as it takes 4th position.
A surprising reappearance into the top 10 was made by Call of Duty: Ghosts, which shoots up from 14th to 9th.
