Week ending on 5/11/2016, the Top 10 chart of the best selling wholesale video games. The top chart is getting classical approaching the Christmas time, with typical game series in the top: Call of Duty, Fifa, Battlefiled, and Skyrim. Games published by typical “super” publishers – three games by EA, two games by Activision, two games by Take 2, and one by Bethesda and Microsoft each.

Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare released and as expected popped to the top, hover it is not doing as well as the last years release, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3. This might be either due to the fact that digital sales may have been increasing (this chart does not include digital downloads, it only includes physical sales). We will know soon, after Activision publishes its digital sales results. Or, the sales of Call of Duty may indeed be down due to a strong completion from Battlefield 1 this year, which showed outstanding sales results compared with its previous releases. Battlefield 1 has been number one in the wholesale and retail charts since its release date. This week after the release of Call of Duty it was pushed to number two. Fifa 17 stayed at number three this week. We expect these titles together with the Skyrim, to stay at top positions, swapping places between them, till Christmas.
