Week ending on February 22, 2020, the UK’s Top 10 chart of the best selling retail and wholesale video games, FIFA 20 holds the top of the UK physical charts. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare holds the second position. Grand Theft Auto 5 takes the third place.

The best-selling new physical release in the UK last week was the tenth anniversary bundle for Bayonetta and Vanquish.

The bundle contains two beloved titles from Platinum Games and Sega. The double pack for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 managed to sell well enough to enter the UK physical retail chart in tenth place.

The top three games in the chart remain unchanged from the previous week at retail. At the top is FIFA 20, with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in second, and Grand Theft Auto 5 sitting in third. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order also managed to hold onto fourth place for a second week in a row.

The Nintendo Switch Edition of Minecraft moved up two places from seventh to fifth, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition stuck firmly in sixth place for another week.

Further down the chart however, half-term sales have served to mix things up a bit.

Stores such as Smyths held promotional offers on Team Sonic Racing, moving it from twenty-second place to seventh this week thanks to an increase in sales of 99 percent week-on-week.

Forza Horizon 4, which wasn’t in the top 40 before last week, re-entered in eighth place with a 229 percent increase in sales week-on-week. Retailers such as GAME held promotional offers on the Call of Duty games. This offer caused a sales boost of 169 percent week-on-week for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 pushing it all the way to eleventh place in the chart.

Last week’s new release, Dreams, dropped from eighth to fifteenth with a small drop in week-on-week sales of 20 percent. The other new releases, Darksiders Genesis and the Yakuza Collection, have dropped out of the top 40 chart.

The final new release for this week is the console version of Crytek’s Hunt: Showdown. The game debuts in twenty-ninth place.
