All biggest news from the Xbox Games Showcase event

Halo Infinite

Microsoft hosted their latest Xbox Games Showcase event on Thursday. This event was to look specifically at games coming out for the much anticipated Xbox Series X. While some say that the event was underwhelming, it did deliver on a number of exclusive first-party games.

Halo Infinite
Possibly the most highly-anticipated Xbox Series X game, Halo Infinite, started the show off. In addition to a new cinematic trailer, an 8-minute gameplay demo was shown. The demo sees protagonist Master Chief set off in what seems to be a semi-open world, and ends with a small look at the game’s overarching story.

Forza Motorsport
The next reveal was for Forza Motorsport, from Turn 10 Studios. While it won’t make it as a launch title for the Xbox Series X, it does sound like it will be the definitive Xbox Series X racing game, as Forza Horizon 4 has been with the Xbox One.

Everwild
The next reveal was from Rare, who have recently released the MMO Grounded. Everwild looks to be a Zelda-inspired game that takes place in a new, nature-focused, universe.

State of Decay 3
Despite bringing State of Decay 2 to the Xbox Series X, developer Undead Labs is also working on State of Decay 3. This third game in the series looks to mix the formula up with a sole survivor situation in the wilderness, pitting players against more than zombie humans.

Avowed
Obsidian Entertainment revealed their latest game, a first person RPG. The game is set in the Pillars of Eternity universe, but will follow the gameplay style of games like The Outer Worlds.

The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon
Obsidian Entertainment also gave everyone a first look at the first DLC coming to The Outer Worlds, Perils on Gorgon. The expansion adds a new location, and a sizable amount of content in terms of quests, weapons, and much more.

Tell Me Why
The latest game from Dontnod got a new trailer. This revealed that the game will launch in August with its first episode, following the same formula as Life Is Strange.

Fable
A trailer for Fable was shown, but this is a remake of the original, not a new game. This is the news that many Fable fans have been waiting years for, and now that everyone knows that the series will live on with the Xbox Series X, it may make it a more appealing next-gen investment.

A few other games saw brief trailers or teases. These include the Medium, an interesting horror game that tells a story from two parallel characters in different times. Stalker 2 got an announcement trailer, as did a new Warhammer game, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Finally, there were trailers for a new game called The Gunk, from the same developer as the SeteamWorld series, a look at a game called Balan Wonderworld, and confirmation that Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition is coming to Xbox.
