The game takes place two years after the original Tales of Xillia, a young man whose name is Ludger Kresnik, and is chef by profession in Trigleph City. Ludger lives with his brother Julius and cat Rollo. He dreams to become an agent of a big company as his brother, but ends up meeting a girl, Ellie Marta, and for some reason decides to accompany her in her search for a mythical “Land of Canaan”.
