Cyberpunk 2077 coming to E3 2019

 
Today CD Projekt Red confirmed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be coming to E3 this year. While no clarification on the game’s release date has been made yet, it’s possible that the developer will be ready to reveal that information when E3 comes around.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a futuristic RPG being developed by the same studio behind The Witcher video games, CD Projekt Red. As such the game will feature heavy RPG systems and mechanics, as well as what has been shown to be a robust first person shooter core. A gameplay demo was shown at E3 in 2018, but CD Projekt Red were keen to point out that the game is still very much a work in progress.

The developer has been quiet about this highly-anticipated title since they showcased it last year, and fans have been eager for any information. The game’s scope is massive in comparison to most other RPGs on the market, and judging from what the developer said last year it’s unlikely to release in 2019.

However, the mere fact that the game is coming to E3 2019 will give fans hope of a vague release window at least. In 2018 no demo was available for the public to play themselves, but now that a year has gone by it’s possible that the demo gameplay from E3 2018 will be playable at E3 2019.

Cyberpunk 2077 is based on the pen and paper role playing game named Cyberpunk 2020. The game takes the core concepts and world but translates them into a fully realised RPG that can be played anywhere.

The gameplay demo that was shown last year indicated that the story is subject to change at any point. Players are able to customise their character in any number of ways, and make choices which will have both large and small effects on the character, world, and how the two interact.

CD Projekt Red have a great reputation for creating engrossing RPG experiences that enrapture their audience. Every choice could have dire consequences for the player, and Cyberpunk 2077 is said to be no different, in fact it seems to be the deepest RPG the developer has ever built.
