Top video games releases in November 2019

Pokemon Sword and Shield

November is usually one of the busiest months of the year for the wholesale trade of video games. This November has a number of big releases scheduled, but compared to previous years it’s relatively quiet. However, you could argue that this month’s releases will become some of the biggest of the year, including the following.

Pokemon Sword and Shield
The first mainline Pokemon games in the RPG timeline for Nintendo Switch launch on the 22nd of November. The base games will cost £44.99 for the standard editions, or £49.99 each for a steelbook edition. There is also a double pack available, the Dual Edition, which will cost £99.99.

Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian and Zamazenta Edition
This special edition Nintendo Switch Lite console is grey, with Legendary Pokemon designs on the back. The console costs £199.99 by itself, £229.00 with either Pokemon Sword or Shield, and around £300 with the Dual Edition, though this package has largely sold out.

Death Stranding
Death Stranding is a PlayStation 4 exclusive that launches on the 8th of November, and has already polarised critics in reviews. The game is unlike anything that’s been released before, and it seems as though not everyone enjoys that. The game costs £49.99 for the standard edition, £69.99 for the steelbook special edition, which comes with some additional in-game items, or £174.99 for the Collector’s Edition, which comes with a number of physical extras including a replica BB. There is also a Death Stranding Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro console available for pre-order at £379.99, which comes with a custom designed console and Dualshock 4 controller.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

The game launches on the 15th of November for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and will cost £54.99 for the standard version. A light up collector’s box edition is also available for £89.99, coming with a number of physical extras, or £99.99 for the deluxe version. The deluxe edition without the physical extras adds in-game digital items, and costs £62.99.

Need for Speed: Heat

A steelbook edition costs £56.99, and a collector’s edition is available for £99.99, which comes with a number of physical items, including a notebook and magnets.
