The Lego company has consistently put out fan-favourite adaptations of many popular franchises, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, The Lord Of The Rings and both Marvel and DC Superheroes.
TT Games’ brick-collecting platformers first entered the scene with Lego: Star Wars in 2005, which also claimed the number one spot in the sales. Jurassic World is the seventh Lego game to achieve this feat, behind last year’s The Lego Movie Videogame.
In only two weeks since its release, Lego Jurassic World has topped its competitors, which include The Elder Scrolls Online, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, GTA IV and FIFA 15. Surprisingly, most copies of Lego Jurassic World were bought on Xbox 360, constituting 26% of the game’s sales, although as well as all other Lego series, the game has been released on all major platforms.
Much like the previous Lego games, in Jurassic World players are tasked with various puzzles and obstacles which they must overcome while playing as more than 100 characters. The playable characters also include more than 20 dinosaurs, such as the Tyrannosaurus Rex. You can also create your own hybrid dinosaur, just like in the film.
The game features a modified storyline that includes all the major films of the franchise, Jurassic Park, The Lost World, Jurassic Park III and finally Jurassic World.
Returning with Jurassic World after a 14 year hiatus, the classic film series stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Jake Johnson, as they try to survive the escape of a genetic hybrid dinosaur. Just as the game has been met with high success, the film has made $1bn dollars in 13 days.
