Week ending on November 3, 2018, the UK’s Top 10 chart of the best selling retail and wholesale video games, Red Dead Redemption 2 keeps the top of the charts. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 remains in the second place, and FIFA 19 in the third position.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has managed to stay at the top of the UK physical retail sales chart for the second week in a row. Sales for Red Dead Redemption 2 were down week-on-week by 51 percent, which is great for a triple A title in its second week on the market. This is actually reported to be the best second week sales for a game in 2018. Not only is this impressive because it’s so late in the year, but Red Dead Redemption 2 was also up against FIFA 19, which saw the biggest opening weekend for 2018 in terms of sales.

Sega’s Football Manager 2019 was the biggest new release this week. The title is top of the Steam charts and managed to enter the physical retail chart in ninth position, even though most of the sales would have been digital given that it’s a PC game.

The LEGO Harry Potter Collection has re-entered the chart in eighth place. The game jumped by 683 percent in sales thanks to the collection launching for Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. This positions it perfectly to complement the release of Fantastic Beasts 2: The Crimes of Grindelwald in cinemas.

Currently the chart also consists of three other Lego titles; LEGO DC Super-Villains in 12th place, LEGO The Incredibles in 24th, and LEGO Marvel Super Heores 2 in 32nd.

The Nintendo Switch release of Diablo 3: Eternal Collection has provided a boost to the game’s sales. Currently the title sits in 12th place, though it may see another boost next week with the recent announcement of Diablo Immortal for mobile devices, which some believe the Switch port of Diablo 3 was a gateway to.

Another new Nintendo Switch title released this week, but Taiko No Tatusujin: Drum ‘n’ Fun failed to chart. However, the game did debut in 11th place on the Nintendo Switch chart, thanks to a version which also includes a drum accessory.

Black Ops 4, FIFA 19, and Forza Horizon 4 remain unchanged in second, third and fourth respectively. Spider-Man rose one place to fifth, beating Assassin’s Creed Odyssey despite the launch of a brand new piece of free story DLC.

This coming week won’t’ see many big releases, with the week after having three of them in Fallout 76, Hitman 2, and Spyro Re-Ignited. Those who pre-order the Gold Edition of Hitman 2 can play from this Friday, but those sales won’t help the game chart until it launches officially.
