Two new PlayStation 4 games broke into the top ten best-selling games at retail chart in the UK last week. Of those new games, a remastered collection of Yakuza games was the biggest seller.
Yakuza Remastered Collection debuted in third place in the chart, behind Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in second, and FIFA 20 in first place, both of which have been topping the chart for weeks.
The second PlayStation 4 exclusive game to break into the top ten was Dreams from Media Molecule. The game sits in eighth currently, though it launched in beta last April. Any players who participated in the beta were given a free download copy of the full game, meaning that many sales will have been digital.
Another new release in the top 40 this week is Darksiders: Genesis for consoles. The game is a spin-off action entry to the Darksiders series from THQ Nordic. Darksiders Genesis enters the chart in eleventh place, selling 51 percent of all copies on PlayStation 4, 28 percent on Nintendo Switch, and 21 percent on Xbox One.
The fourth new game for the week was Street Fighter 5 Champion Edition, a brand new version of the game. It entered the chart in 37th place, though it also launched on Steam and so could have lost some physical sales there.
The rest of the top ten best-selling games at retail look very similar to how they have done in the last few weeks. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order rose to fourth from sixth, Grand Theft Auto 5 dropped from third to fifth, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition dropped one place to sixth.
Last week’s new game Zombie Army 4: Dead War dropped from the top ten to 24th place due to a 61 percent drop in sales week-on-week. Ring Fit Adventure, which saw a boost thanks to new stock last week, has fallen to 30th this week. It’s not certain where Ring Fit Adventure will settle, with Nintendo’s stock still fluctuating and the fact that the game is a physical only release due to accessories.
