THQ Nordic’s Gamescom 2019 lineup revealed

 
THQ Nordic has announced their lineup for Gamescom 2019. While not all of these games will be playable at the event, they have definitively confirmed that upcoming release SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated will be playable for the very first time at the event.

THQ Nordic has released a trailer that shows, not only the publisher’s full lineup of titles present at Gamescom 2019, but also an as of yet unannounced game. This game will more than likely be announced just before, or during Gamescom 2019.

The games THQ Nordic is bringing to Gamescom 2019 are as follows.

Biomutant
An RPG title in which the way players evolve their character’s stats will affect their appearance. Featuring a living, breathing world full of unique and interesting enemies to fight, and friends to meet.

Darksiders Genesis
This Darksiders title differs from the core series by changing the action to a top down view. Players can take on the role of either War or Strife, the apocalyptic horsemen, and take on the world alone or in co-op with another player.

Desperados 3
The third title in the Desperados series is coming to players 13 years after the second. New systems and characters give players different ways to complete maps, and take on the army of thugs between them and their goal.

Destroy All Humans! Remake
The remake of the 2005 Grand Theft Auto with aliens smash hit, Destroy All Humans! Remake brings back the probing action with updated visuals and brand new game mechanics. After a series of unsuccessful sequels, the original is a beloved title among fans, and arguably the best game in the series.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated
A cult classic title set in the SpongeBob SquarePants universe, the original title has been remade for modern consoles. This game features fan favourite SpongeBob SquarePants characters, fighting it out to save Bikini Bottom.

TBD
The final mystery title will be unveiled during Gamescom 2019, and THQ Nordic has confirmed that this title will be available to play at Gamescom.

THQ Nordic is also hosting a number of indie titles at this year’s Gamescom. They are as follows.

Spitlings
A cute but unforgiving hardcore arcade title.

Through the Darkest of Times
A strategy game in which players lead a group of resistance fighters underground.

One Hand Clapping
A 2D platformer that tasks players will singing into their microphone in order to solve puzzles.

El Hijo
A spaghetti western title in which players take on the role of a six-year-old boy searching for his mother.
