The Japanese casual wear designer Uniqlo is set to release an officially licensed Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom t-shirt line later this month. On April 26, six Zelda-inspired shirts will hit Uniqlo stores in Japan as well as the company’s website, with an upcoming western retail release also being confirmed.

Uniqlo’s trademark UT collection (Uniqlo T-shirts) is no stranger to video game adaptations, with famous titles such as Street Fighter, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, and Pokémon, all receiving their own UT lines of graphic t-shirts in recent years.

Now, it’s Zelda’s turn.

This unique collection of Zelda shirts won’t be found anywhere else other than at Uniqlo. Images of the shirts can already be seen on Uniqlo’s website; however, they won’t be available to purchase until the 26th. Each one embodies Uniqlo’s minimalistic style and the company has worked hard to capture Zelda’s distinct characters, world, and aesthetic, into the designs.

The release of the Zelda range comes just a few short weeks after Uniqlo launched a line of Capcom-inspired UT shirts, in celebration of the video game company’s 40th anniversary. These included t-shirts featuring many of Capcom’s most iconic titles, such as Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry, and some other classics like Mega Man and Ghost ‘n Goblins.

The Capcom collaboration hit stores in Japan as well as Uniqlo’s website on March 18, but won’t be available in Uniqlo’s western region stores until April 4. Retail stores outside of Japan will also have to wait for the Zelda shirts, as a date for their release in the region is not yet known, but is expected to be announced shortly.

With both Nintendo and Zelda being one of the most recognizable and popular gaming icons across the world – combined with the success of Uniqlo’s previous video game lines – it’s probably safe to assume that these limited-edition Zelda shirts will be just as successful and glide off store shelves just as fast. The question is…will you be buying one before they do?
