U.S. best selling video games: Week of November 30, 2019

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare holds Number 1 position of the U.S. Top 10 best selling retail and wholesale video games on Black Friday week of 2019. Due to Black Friday deals the Activision blockbuster has had an 80% boost in week-on-week sales. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, which was also bundled with Xbox One console, holds the second position in the charts, with Black Friday week-on-week sales boost of 42%.

NBA 2K20 has had an incredible boost of week-on-week sales of 220%, which landed it in the third place of the charts. Similarly, due to major discounts, another sports title EA Sports’ Madden NFL 20 has had a significant sales boost of 230% in week-on-week sales, which landed it in 8th place.

Microsoft has bundled Sea of Thieves, launched in March 2018, with Xbox One S All-Digital console for Black Friday deals and sold it with massive discounts. As a result the game has had a huge boost in sales, landing it in the seventh position of the charts. Similarly, Minecraft was also bundled with the Xbox One console, which provided a large boost of sales. Plus the solo Switch version of the game has had a healthy boost of 34% in week-on-week sales. This has landed Minecraft game, cumulative on all platforms, in the fourth place of the charts.

Pokémon Sword and Sheild had a slight decrease in week-on-week sales, mostly due to a lack of significant discounts on these particular titles, which have released recently and still sell well even without much of Black Friday discounts. The games dropped to the fifth place of the chart.

Two recent releases of Nintendo, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Mario & Sonic At The Tokyo Olympic Games 2020 are still performing very well and are at the ninth and tenth positions respectively. With these two titles, together with Pokémon Sword and Sheild and Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Nintendo has had five platform-exclusive titles in the Top 10 chart this week.
