Pokémon Legends: Arceus remains No.1 in the UK

Pokemon Legends Arceus

Pokemon Legends: Arceus is still selling well, managing to stay at the top spot as a best-selling boxed game in the UK for the third week in a row. While the game has seen a 45% drop in week-on-week sales, it has still managed to beat every other game.

The latest installment of the Dying Light franchise, Dying Light 2 Stay Human, once again managed to come in second behind Pokemon for the second week in the row seeing a 57% drop in week-on-week sales. While this is a significant decline, the game is still selling extremely well on PlayStation 5, managing to sell 42% of all shifted units as well as 29% of its PlayStation 4 units.

The rest of the top spots on the list are more or less the same as they were during the previous week. FIFA 22 came in taking third place, number four was kept by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons stayed at number five.

The Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition managed to appear on the list this week at number four due to the game launching its physical copies for Nintendo Switch on the 11th of February. This resulted in 91% of the weekly GTA Trilogy sales being for the Nintendo Switch, marking a 771% increase in sales compared to the previous week.

While there have been no new entries in the charts this week, if we take a look further down the list, we can see a few titles returning, likely due to retail promotions on Switch. The most prominent on the list were the Lego titles including the Lego The Incredibles at the 28th spot and Lego DC Super-Villians coming in at number 34.
