Mark of the Ninja Remaster on the way

Klei Entertainment have announced that their title, Mark of the Ninja, will be coming to Playstation 4, Xbox One, and PC as Mark of the Ninja Remastered.

Earlier this month Klei Entertainment announced that they’d be bringing Mark of the Ninja to Nintendo Switch. However now it seems as though the game will be coming to all major platforms in a remastered format. Klei Entertainment have confirmed that the game will be releasing this fall across all platforms simultaneously.

Mark of the Ninja Remastered will contain completely remastered visuals in HD, new audio, effects, and cutscenes. The game’s visuals were already stunning in a unique art style that Klei Entertainment excel at.

The remaster will also include the expansion from The Mark of the Ninja Special Edition. This additional content contains an extra story level, more items, an extra character, and developer commentary from Klei Entertainment themselves. The game will also feature the New Game Plus mode which offers new challenges and rewards to players who manage to finish the game and want more from the experience.

Mark of the Ninja puts players in the shoes of a ninja who must navigate through various levels while avoiding enemies and sticking to the shadows. A grading system rates the player based on how well they have remained hidden from the enemies in the level, as well as how many they’ve managed to kill as they’ve moved through.

The gameplay in Mark of the Ninja sees players moving their character around the level by silently running over rafters, hiding in shadows, and clinging to walls or ceilings. There are always multiple objectives to each level which provide an added level of challenge as well as better rewards when they’re completed.

Since the game originally released for PC the controls are themed around keyboard and mouse controls, however these have translated well to consoles so far on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. On Nintendo Switch the controls will transfer even better, since the touch screen will be usable for moving each character around the level by a simple touch.
