It appears that PlayStation 5 bundles have increased the sales of big PS5 titles. Gran Turismo 7 saw a 163% increase in sales and jumped up five places on the charts, finishing the week at No.2. While this is a huge leap, it is nothing compared to the Horizon Forbidden West which managed to rise 11 places thanks to its weekly sales increasing by 307%.

Some other PS5 titles moved up the charts due to more consoles being in stock but also thanks to Easter price promotions. Spider-Man: Miles Morales took No.15 on the charts with its sales seeing a 302% increase while Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart re-entered the Top 40 at No.17 due to its sales increasing by 709%. Lastly, Ghostwire: Tokyo sales saw a 210% sales increase and charted at No.21 while the sales of Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut went up by 464% which landed the game at No.30.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga stays at the top of the charts for the second week in the row and is the fastest-selling LEGO title in UK history, even though its weekly sales have dropped by 70%.

While PlayStation 5 was the biggest platform for the new LEGO title last week, the Nintendo Switch version was the biggest one this week. This is typical for LEGO games as they tend to launch stronger on PS5 and Xbox but Nintendo manages to take a bigger market share later.

This week’s only new release was the Grand Theft Auto 5 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S which led to the game charting at No.9 with its sales increasing by 89%.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land went from No.2 do to No.7 with its sales seeing a decline of 50% week-on-week, however it is still a strong candidate for being the UK’s best-selling Kirby title.

Finally, Elden Ring sales dropped by 13% week-on-week, landing it at No.8 and WWE 2K22 fell to No.12 after a sales drop of 6%. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands dropped 12 places to No.23 seeing a 41% sales decline, however it is worth noting that all three games have sold well via PSN and Xbox Live. This data will be available later this week.

Below are the top ten best-selling boxed video games in the UK for the week ending April 16, 2022:
