Publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced that its latest video game title, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga sold more than 3.2 million units across the globe since the game launched on April 5 this year.
According to the company, the release of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has been the most successful video game that the company had within the LEGO video game franchise. In fact, in only two weeks, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has become the biggest console launch in LEGO video game history.
The company made a statement on its official Twitter page in which they expressed their gratitude to the players saying that the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is the biggest launch in LEGO Game history due to their support.
Over the years, the LEGO brand has released multiple video game titles that featured numerous popular media among which are included Batman, Jurassic Park, and Marvel’s Avengers to name a few.
The developers behind the LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga was a company called TT Games that collaborated with Lucasfilm Games on the project. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is also the title that allows players to reach the Star Wars movie franchise across its nine installments.
The first LEGO Star Wars video game, simply titled LEGO Star Wars: The Video game or LEGO Star Wars, was released in March 2005, and its premise was entirely based on the prequel trilogy of the movie franchise. Since then, the company has managed to release six more installments of the LEGO Star Wars franchise, as well as multiple other LEGO titles such as LEGO World, LEGO The Incredibles as well as LEGO Harry Potter, and LEGO The Hobbit.
