FIFA 20 tops EMEAA charts once again

With no new releases for the week, FIFA 20 had an easy time climbing back into the top spot of the EMEAA combined physical and digital chart. This is the fifth week since the game launched that it has claimed the top spot in the EMEAA chart.

When it first released, FIFA 20 saw a run of four consecutive weeks at number one in the EMEAA chart. The game that removed it eventually was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, which outsold it during its launch period, though with this recent lack of new releases FIFA 20 has crept back up.

The top-selling game for the regions last week, Football Manager 2020, has disappeared from the EMEAA combined chart. The game currently sits in 37th place in the digital-only chart, showing a steep decline in sales from its initial launch window.

Pokemon Sword sits in fourth and Pokemon Shield in eighth, showing that Pokemon Sword has actually risen by one place since last week. This gives us the impression that sales for Pokemon Sword and Shield are sitting at a steady rate moving into the holiday period.

Two other Nintendo games, Luigi’s Mansion 3 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Edition, are also in the top ten. Luigi’s Mansion 3 sits in sixth this week, up two places from last week, and Mario Kart 8 has just re-entered the chart in tenth place, moving up one place in the last week.

In the digital-only sales chart Grand Theft Auto 5 has returned to the top spot, unsurprisingly. FIFA 20 sits in second place, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare rounds out the top three in third place.

While it sits towards the end of the combined chart, it’s worth taking note that Need for Speed: Heat has stuck in ninth place for another week in a row. This indicates that sales are steady at the very least, and the game may continue to sell well throughout the holiday period.
