Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled tops EMEAA charts

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

While this week’s EMEAA charts have seen the release of a number of new games, and a huge disruption thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has managed to remain at the top.

New releases for the week include Judgement, the new Yakuza spin-off, Super Mario Maker 2, which topped the UK physical sales chart, and F1 2019. Despite this, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is still the best-selling game in the EMEAA chart as it stands, though this doesn’t include digital sales data for Nintendo games such as Super Mario Maker 2.

F1 2019 landed in third place in the chart as a new release, and Judgement debuted in fifth place in the chart, which is impressive considering it’s an exclusive for PlayStation 4.

Many older games have seen a boost in digital sales thanks to the Steam Summer Sale, which offers heavy discounts on titles across the marketplace. With a 90 discount, Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition is one of the titles that the sale had the biggest impact on, rising to seventh place in the chart. Two Point Hospital also saw a big jump, from 470th to 13th, as well as South Park: The Fractured But Hole, which rose to 11th from 226th.

When solely looking at the digital charts, games such as Cities: Skylines, Uno, and Monster Hunter World also had good weeks, sitting in 10th, 9th, and 8th respectively. Other games rose from deep in the sales charts to the top 20 thanks to the sale as well, including; Dark Souls Remastered, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey recently saw the launch of the final piece of one story DLC pack, which could also have helped boost sales alongside the discounts offered. The sequel to Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands is due out later this year, and with a heavy discount is the perfect game for those wanting to experience the series before the next title comes out.

The top ten best games by combined digital and physical units sold in the EMEAA for the last week are as follows.

1. Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled
2. Super Mario Maker 2
3. F1 2019
4. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
5. Judgement
6. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
