The Coalition
The Coalition is a video game developer based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It is owned by Microsoft, and formerly was called Microsoft Vancouver and Black Tusk Studios.
The Coalition is the current developer of Microsoft’s signature Gears of War game series. Microsoft acquired the Gears of War franchise from Epic Games on January 27, 2014 and has tasked the then called Black Tusk Studios to work on future release of the Gears. Black Tusk Studios was renamed The Coalition in June 2015.
