Beenox is a video games developer based in Québec, Canada. The company was founded by Dominique Brown in 2000, and it was acquired by Activision in 25/05/2015. In its initial period the company was mainly engaged in porting games to other platforms, i.e. rewriting the software for working on another platform. Between 2002 and 2006, Beenox has completed around 30 porting projects. The studio then concentrated more on developing own titles, though they still do porting projects too. For example In 2015, Activision announced that Beenox is working porting Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 to Xbox 360 and PS3.
